Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy

Cardiac resynchronization is a treatment for heart failure patients with left bundle branch block. It is achieved by implanting a pacemaker or defibrillator with three leads, an atrial, right ventricular and left ventricular lead. The procedure to implant a cardiac resynchronization device is similar to a permanent pacemaker or defibrillator implantation.
